Adam Andrzejewski: “A Breath of Fresh Air for Illinois”

From the Adam Andrzejewski for Governor campaign…

At a press conference on Tuesday, January 19, at the University Club of Chicago, former conservative State Senator and gubernatorial candidate, Patrick O’Malley issued his endorsement of my campaign.

Mr. O’Malley served as a Republican member of the Illinois State Senate, having been elected three times in a swing district that went to the Democrats after his retirement in 2003. While a State Senator, he was a member of a group of conservative state senators elected in 1992 who often challenged the leadership of the Illinois Republican Party and were dubbed the “Fab Five.”

O’Malley ran for governor in 2002 on a conservative platform and described himself as a “Pro-life Catholic,” and “Reagan conservative.” He finished second in a field of three candidates in the Republican primary behind Attorney General Jim Ryan. Dan Proft was O’Malley’s communication director in 2002.

OF. BY. FOR THE PEOPLE

In the aftermath of Senator-Elect Scott Brown’s extraordinary victory on Tuesday evening, it’s the people of the great state of Massachusetts that have emerged as the real winners. Scott Brown’s victory is a referendum on a legacy of ineffective, patronage-protecting policy and a sweeping demand that Liberty carry the day into a better tomorrow for Massachusetts. I extend my sincere congratulations to Scott Brown, the people of Massachusetts and to the dynamic grassroots Tea Party movement that was so pivitol in mobilizing Mr. Brown’s support.

Illinoisans, on the other hand, find ourselves at a crossroads. With the primary election just days away, we’re faced with a decision that could mean four more years of corruption, billions more in debt, more lost jobs, and a continued strain on our economy. But it doesn’t have to. A recenlty published GALLUP study indicates that I am the candidate, among this field of seven, most likely to be victorious in the November General Election. My policy-based solutions are anchored in the fundamental conservative principles of limited government, free enterprise, individual freedom and traditional American values. What’s more, I owe NO favors, have made NO deals and have NO political baggage.

As we stand together at this crossroads, I invite you to join me on the road to a New Day in Illinois. A road paved with courage and conviction, with strength and perserverence. As former conservative State Senator Patrick O’Malley said on the day he endorsemed me, “[Adam is] the only candidate with the tenacity and that is independent enough to execute his policies.” My opponents’ ideas for Illinois are dead-on-arrival in Springfield. Only my solutions hang on two critical Executive Orders that cannot be stopped by Michael Madigan and the Illinois Legistalture.

  1. As a conservative Californian that once had an opportunity to listen, speak to and question Adam Andrzejewski on the online Blog Talk Radio show “Political Pistachio” I pray Adam gets the job.

His ideas are certainly refreshing and would substantially reduce the amount of fraud and theft that currently runs rampant in IL politics and government. – Plus the cost of stopping the fraud etc. would not mean another bloated bureaucracy. It simply involves accountability and posting that accountability on the internet for all to see.

We need true civil servants like Adam in California.
