Martin Luther King had many affairs with women in his own church and city, but was better known to use white and black prostitutes and pay them with SCLC tax-exempt funds!
David J. Garrow is a well-known leftist author and revealed to USA Today King’s justification for his sexual immorality: “He [King] explained it as someone on the road 27 days a month and needing sex as a form of anxiety reduction and for emotional solace.” “Anxiety reduction” and “emotional solace” are now excuses and justification for immorality!
I have a copy of an AP article that should be a knockout blow for those who worship at King’s image. With its heading, “FBI and Abernathy Say King Was a Sex-obsessed ‘Tomcat’” and followed with a graphic description of King’s last night on earth. “The Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. spent parts of the night before his assassination with two women and then fought physically with a third, according to the memoirs of the Rev. Ralph David Abernathy, King’s top aide.”
The AP article condenses Abernathy’s detailed account of King’s last night on earth just after he delivered his “I have been to the Mountaintop” speech. It seems after King went to the mountaintop he and a friend went to the home of “a friend” of King’s. Abernathy is quoted as saying that “Martin and his [female] friend” came out of the bedroom after 1 a.m. then King and his male friend returned to the Lorraine Motel where King got together with “a black woman…a member of the Kentucky Legislature” with whom King had a “close” relationship. Abernathy admitted that King did not return to the motel room (that they shared) until after 7 a.m.
Later that morning, King asked Abernathy (his best friend) to settle a dispute between him (King) and “another young woman Martin knew well” that had come looking for King earlier that night. Evidently, Abernathy was not very successful in dispute resolution because King shouted at the woman and “knocked her across the bed” according to King’s best friend. Well, not your typical Baptist preacher! Nevertheless, many people reading this will foam at the mouth for my writing this but aren’t very disturbed about King’s activities. However, it gets worse, much worse!
The Assistant Director of the FBI, Charles D. Brennan wrote a letter to Senator John P. East of North Carolina in which he stated that King’s activities consisted of “orgiastic and adulterous escapades, some of which indicated that King could be bestial in his sexual abuse of women.”
Newsweek magazine published an amazing story of King’s sexual escapades. The story revealed that King spent the morning of January 6, 1964, at the Supreme Court where King was an honored guest as the Court heard the lawyers argue a case “rising out of King’s crusade against segregation in Alabama.” It seems one of the “unbiased” judges, Arthur Goldberg sent down a copy of King’s book for an autograph!
The Newsweek article continued: “That night King retired to his room at the Willard Hotel. There FBI bugs reportedly picked up 14 hours of party chatter, the clinking of glasses and the sounds of illicit sex–including King’s cries of ‘I’m f—ing for God’ and ‘I’m not a Negro tonight!’” Whatever that means!
Much information about King’s sexual encounters came from FBI tapes that liberals love to criticize; however, they don’t mention that U.S. Attorney General Robert Kennedy, not the Director of the FBI, J. Edgar Hoover, ordered the bugging of King’s hotel rooms! Black columnist Carl Rowan reported that the FBI tapes suggest that there was a homosexual relationship between King and his “best friend” Ralph Abernathy! Why have you never heard that on any network news?
Black talk show host and columnist Tony Brown added more light on this possibility when he reported on King’s banter to Abernathy in one of their hotel rooms. King yelled to his “best friend,” “Come on over here, you big, black m___________, and let me _____ your ______.”
I must admit that I hesitated to write the above even in disguised form. It is so disgusting, I am sure the heat will come down on me. Also, I must express my respect for Rowan and Brown for their courageous reporting. Brown is especially fair and balanced. It seems he really doesn’t care about a person’s color or race; only character. Three cheers for two honest black men.
FBI Assistant Director William Sullivan, who was in charge of the bugging of King’s hotel rooms, said that King also had affairs with many married women. One incident in Los Angeles involved King and a dentist’s wife whom King had convinced to perform unusual sexual acts on him. When the dentist-husband discovered the affair, he threatened to kill King, but the reverend managed to slip out of town for another speaking engagement before the dentist could get his satisfaction.
In another incident in New York City King got drunk and asked a young female civil rights worker to satisfy his weird sexual tastes and when she refused, he threatened to jump from the skyscraper window. She changed her mind and satisfied the reverend.
After President Lyndon Johnson (who was known for his sexual immorality) heard some of the surveillance tapes, he remarked, “G– d— it, if only you could hear what that hypocritical preacher does sexually!” However, you will have to wait until 2027 until the tapes are released to the public because Coretta King asked a Federal judge to seal the tapes for 50 years. Wonder why she requested that? When Americans hear the tapes in 2027, they will be disgusted and then begin to wonder where principled Americans were back in those days and why Americans had been honoring King all those years with a national holiday.
So how can thinking Americans, even conservatives, still defend, support, and condone King’s lifestyle and activities? They think that black advancement is more important than truth, fairness, and justice. Some tell us that a Black must be able to walk on water before he can be accepted as a black leader but we don’t demand that. We do expect a leader, white or black, to be decent, fair, consistent, honest, and law-abiding.
