Palestinians: Did Gingrich Get it Right?

-By Rev Michael Bresciani

Both the mainstream media and Mitt Romney have been painting a picture of Newt Gingrich as a loose cannon largely because he has been articulating that the Palestinians were not ever a nation or a people prior to 1947. Is he right?

In fact, in spite of the common wisdom of the day, this is the rap everywhere, from Ivy League classrooms to the mainstream media. Are Palestinians getting shunned, oppressed and just treated badly by Israel?

It is no secret that Palestinians lob deadly rockets into Israel almost daily. They indiscriminately target homes, schools, hospitals and public places without warning. Less than a month ago a rocket did land at a kindergarten, but most western media, said little about that attack.

It is also well known (to anyone taking the time to find out) that after a suspected terrorist hideout or center of operations is discovered by Israel, they spend three days dropping leaflets to announce that they are going to strike that center. The IDF may be the most compassionate army on earth, but that is never mentioned by left leaning news outlets anywhere in the world.

Prophecy 2012: America in the Valley of Decision

-By Rev Michael Bresciani

This message is less about the denouement of America than it is about the deliberations of a nation at an urgent and critical moment in its history. I urge Americans to carefully consider the course they are choosing in the very near future.

My choice would have been to put this message out later in 2012, but on December first, I realized that nothing could wait, the timing of a message is equally important to the content. Here are seven points and a conclusion that I can only pray that many will give careful consideration to, as we enter what promises to be, the most critical year of our entire history as a nation.

It may not even need to be said that terms like liberal and conservative, the right wing and the left have ceased to be terms that can be used in the broadest sense, as they have been for generations. Now the battle is emerging between good and evil, right and wrong and Godliness and ungodliness. It is all preparation for the coming world ruler known as the antichrist and his aide the false prophet.

Is the Philosophy of Modern Science – Unscientific?

-By Rev Michael Bresciani

The best place to begin an examination of modern scientific philosophical flaws is in its very own definition. What science has become is far removed from its original definition.

In the beginning, it was easier to trust the conclusions of science when it defined itself as the empirical study of all things, based on repeatable, observable phenomena and careful record keeping of the results. Today’s science is rife with wild speculation, overworked theory, and just plain authoritarian guesswork. If a scientist said it, it has to be true, but is that true?

There are plenty of reasons that science is never questioned and not the least of these is because most scientific disciplines don’t want a hint of possible error being attached to them. Like all areas of modern life, accountability to the creator, God, must never be openly acknowledged. Religion is a highly doubtful area of substandard sources and subtexts, in the eyes of many scientists, who think it is largely for those who are squeamish and the fearful who haven’t got any savvy, cool or real brains to start with.

Super Power, Super Committee and the ‘Whoops’ Factor

-By Rev Michael Bresciani

America’s lonely prophets and prognosticators are standing on the side saying we must stop sinning while her politicians are putting together super committees to show us how to stop spending. So far the only ones stuck with an embarrassing ‘whoops’ on their hands, are the politicians. Harold Camping may have gotten the date for the ‘end of the world’ wrong but Washington hasn’t gotten anything right yet.

We don’t always hear the ‘whoops’ but the picture of president, politician, attorney general and super committee standing with a dumbfounded look on their faces, and hands in the air, creates no strain for the imagination.

The President realizes that he can’t keep using the Bush administration to cover his whoops but now he has the GOP controlled Congress to blame, so the re-election campaign is just like the 2008 bid , no need to own up to his own miserable failures. He has saddled up the unsuspecting with a 100 pound knapsack full of Obamacare and trillions in debt and has sent them off to the school of cultural change they really cannot believe in, with a kiss and a promise. Pep talks of future rewards notwithstanding, the little citizen students are bent and falling, just three years out of the gate.

Message in a Bottle – Anarchy, Decline and Obama Blindness

-By Rev Michael Bresciani

Recent polls have decided who the front runners are in the GOP race for the White House but the same polls sadly report that whoever wins the party nomination still may not be able to defeat Barack Obama.

In an article I wrote entitled – The 2012 Elections and the ‘Twenty Million Factor’ I briefly covered the fact that while American conservatives and the GOP are hotly debating who will grab the brass ring, we are overlooking the fact that a generation of secularized, discontented and Obama mesmerized sycophants’ must be overcome, to defeat both the incumbent and the social ideology he has introduced into our nation. Not a thousand more debates can possibly produce enough traction to accomplish this, but only a combination of prayer, unity and a willingness to return to law and Constitution. How are we doing with that?

I have been grateful for the few websites like Renew America and Canada Free Press and a list of about twenty other solid and brave sites that have hosted my work. But I am not naïve because I know that like anyone who is embroiled in the task of conveying truth and lasting values the field is lonely and the fighting is uphill all the way.

Marriage Adviser Caves – Satan Not in LGBT?

-By Rev Michael Bresciani

I comb the news each week looking for what might inform and above all help the Christian community to stay strong in the faith. I have refused automatic news scripts, and handpicked each piece. My sense of responsibility goes beyond my articles but it encompasses everything on our website. Everything is geared to enhance, strengthen and inform the believer and appeal to the better sensibilities of the non-believer.

Occasional an article or report leaves me speechless, while another may invoke anger or great sadness. The Washington Post published just such an article on November 4, 2011, entitled, “Marriage adviser resigns over Satan homosexuality column.”

Some teachings of the Bible are explicit while others are implied but the teaching about demons and devils is as explicit as it gets. Those who decide to make careers out of sin and perversion are most assuredly called the sons and daughters of the devil. The Bible is not squeamish about it but actually puts Satan’s own together with perversion.

Here is one example. “And said, O full of all subtlety and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord?” (Acts 13: 10)

Mississippi Still Burning – Consciences Seared

-By Rev Michael Bresciani

There is little doubt that this writer is convinced we are in the last days but just in case you don’t read long enough to read my usual scriptural addendum customarily placed at the end of my articles; I’ll put it first.

Paul warning his young disciple Timothy of conditions in the last days said, “Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron.” (1Tim 4: 1, 2)

The phrase “doctrines of devils” is why much of the responses in Mississippi newspapers and journals are saying that Mississippians’ would not be subjected to the fears of some religious rhetoric or God lore concerning Initiative – 26 – Definition of Person – Ballot Issue.

I entered one blog only to say that the Bible’s message rather than being religious rhetoric is, life affirming, God given revelation, that when boiled down to its essence, says that God actually intended humans to live and not to occupy the buckets and waste containers of medical clinics to the tune of 53,000,000 to date. This is pragmatism not prophecy, but in either case it is a testimony against our refusal to see the obvious.

Eight Reasons Why Today’s World Despises and Resists Christianity

-By Rev Michael Bresciani

All references to Christianity here are referring only to Bible based or scripturally centered faith unless otherwise stated. In politics the term RINO has emerged of late, meaning Republican in name only. Borrowing from that acronym the religious counterpart of a RINO would be CINO. (Christian in name only) We are in the throes of the biggest apostasy (Falling away) of the Christian faith in the last twenty centuries and many churches and organizations that spearhead this apostasy are certainly, CINO.

1. The indisputable number one reason real Christianity is despised is because it declares that man’s greatest problem is sin. We have for centuries seen the problems of man as a lack of knowledge, economics, race problems, politics and dozens more. The Bible recognizes none of these things as the root problem of man. Rather the scriptures declares that the fallen condition of man drives us all to a propensity to sin that ultimately causes the problems of all mankind. Wars, economic disparities, race problems and all else is a result of man’s willingness to sin and live out lives of sin without recognizing that they are sinners.

The Bible has many things to say about sin but the central focus is that Jesus Christ came into the world mainly to deal with the problem of sin once and for all. His death on the cross was no accident or untimely thwarting of his goals and ministry. It was the primary reason he came and the ultimate goal of his life. (Jn 18: 37)

People, President, Prophet, Pope – VS – Anarchy, Unrest and Tons of Dope

-By Rev Michael Bresciani

One of America’s most well known news commentators gave a summary of how America got into its present troubles only last night. There is no need to name or quote the man because almost all commentators and pundits are mouthing the same spiel.

He said the people began to adopt a “do your own thing philosophy” in the sixties, what followed was a dip in morals and there was a rise in dependence on government for money, medical care and everything else, that in short time created the present, ‘nanny state.’

It all sounded good until he offered what has become the standard answer to resolve the problem of our dying society. As you might expect, it was a return to self reliance, invigorating businesses to grow, and cut the spending. With lots of nodding, assent and general agreement those on his panel were in full and unfettered agreement with him.

West’s Winter of Discontent, The Arab Spring and The Summer from Hell

-By Rev Michael Bresciani

From the beginning God has used man’s voice above all else to provide a revelation of himself and his will. That he warns them ahead of his biggest changes is in keeping with his love, mercy and justice. Springing up on someone to cut them down without warning is surprise, not justice; even if they are deserving of it.

The ancient Prophet Amos declared that God would not do anything without fair warning “Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.” (Amos 3: 7) How does God choose these prophets and who are they?

Debate on who was the greatest of the Old Testament prophets has continued for centuries but it is clear that God’s greatest prophets are yet to come. In fact the scriptures devote an entire chapter to describing the message and ministry of the two most powerful prophets of all time, both which may be alive today but as yet are not revealed. (Rev 11:1f)

Media’s Confusion about Mormonism – Journalists’ Poor Theologians?

-By Rev Michael Bresciani

Dr. Robert Jeffress said Mormonism has “never been considered a part of mainstream Christianity.” He indicated that he thought Mormonism is a cult at the Values Voter Summit on Friday October 7, 2011. His statement has ignited a firestorm of controversy and questions. From the forthright Fox News to the feckless far left media, questions like “did he go too far” are circulating around the media like a deadly tornado. What is it all about?

It would be easy to simplify it all by saying that for years most of mainstream Protestantism has held Mormonism as a cult, so Jeffress was not wrong. But here we will ask the question of just why Mormonism is viewed this way.

Volumes have been written that deal with the theological problems with Mormonism, which is why I will not presume to settle it here in one article. What is needed is some clarity and some history so it can be understood just how mainstream Christianity came to these conclusions.

Journalists generally don’t make great theologians and that can be seen in their repeated misuse of terms they obviously do not understand. The terms used most often are, heresy and cult.

While it is possible for some sects to be such aberrations of standard Christianity that they are labeled as cults it is not the best or normal usage for this term. A cult is adherence to a person or teaching that usually has no connection to Christianity or the Bible at all. Manson, Aum Shinrikyo, Scientology, Jonestown, are good examples of cults that never had Christian foundations or if they did they were completely discarded for something else.

The second most often misused word is heresy. Here is a word with a clearer definition but a broader application, the misuse of this word is rampant, even among the best Christian minds of the day.

More Than Winning – Can the GOP Candidates Mend the Divide?

-By Rev Michael Bresciani

No one has done more to divide the nation in its entire history than the incumbent, Barack Obama. The one who said America should drop all its divides including Democrat and Republican has pitted whole blocs of us against each other.

The Tea Party now seems to be running as the exact opposite of the Flea Party. (Occupy) The states with crippled economies are pitted against unions. The Border States have to defend against the dangerous influx of illegal immigrants, drugs and violence then must also defend themselves from the DOJ, DOJ Hotlines (Alabama) and a President who would take them to court rather than do his own part according to the law, to defend them.

The tax payers must continue to cough up their share even as they see the Fed spread it around to failed stimulus bills, bankrupt bailed out businesses and overseas help for corn-ball things like the rebuilding of sagging Islamic Mosques. (Started during Bush adm.) The taxed are beginning to see that ‘united we stand’ must be modified to, ‘united we stand against it.’

Obama Rebukes GOP for Snubbing Gay Serviceman? – High Level Hypocrisy

-By Rev Michael Bresciani

In homiletical discourse less is often more. This is precisely why any preacher who is not a novice will use the standard introduction, three points and a conclusion to keep listeners from falling off into inattention. In the case of Obama’s indignant public reproof of the republicans at the recent GOP debate in Orlando on September 22, 2011, three points and one sad conclusion are all that’s needed.

Mr. Obama said “We don’t believe in the kind of smallness that says it’s OK for a stage full of political leaders — one of whom could end up being the President of the United States — being silent when an American soldier is booed.” The rebuke was leveled at a Human Rights Campaign annual dinner in Washington which was attended by gays, lesbians and their supporters.

Hey Kids – Let’s Meet on Wall St. for Weeks Long Whining Fest

-By Rev Michael Bresciani

Headlines are heralding Apple’s, Steve Jobs as someone who impacted and changed our lives. At the same time demonstrations and riots in Chile, South Korea and America make it apparent that the change had nothing to do with the development of character or the ability to discern the nature of economics, politics and honesty.

In Chile youth are battling with police in protests for completely free education for everyone. In South Korea the method of demonstration is as corny as it get and includes, pants dropping, flag eating, throwing excrement and some gruesome shows of animal abuse.

On Wall Street the mood is far different. A clear direction or purpose seems to be lacking and there are as many reasons given for the demonstration as there are disgruntled whiners. It is hard not to see the Wall Streeter’s as Saturday Night Lives’ Doug and Wendy Whiner remade with a cast of thousands.

One complaint among the whiners that is almost universal is; that the rich are too rich and the poor are too poor. (Relative terms here in the U.S.) The Robin Hood mentality of the Obama administration seems to have taken root in the psyche of most demonstrators. Not only has the Obama thrust of wealth redistribution failed but reality shows must have tanked as well because, the Occupy Wall St. crowd is far removed from any known reality.

Understanding Change We Can Believe In – Obama Doctrine for Dummies

-By Rev Michael Bresciani

Americans have been waltzing down the path to change we can believe in for nearly three years now but it is obvious that not everyone is getting it yet. Here is all you need to know about Obamachange that will get you speaking Obamanese in the very shortest amount of time.

Because most of these definitions and summaries are now past tense you will understand that while this guide may seem facetious it is in fact an incredible reality. It is not a joke and it is not laughable in any way.

To be perfectly balanced and fair it must be noted that Barack Obama has kept his promise to produce change in America. He has only failed on the side of it being, something we can believe in. The reality is that for most Americans it can only be described as something that is hard to believe at all.

The Vision that Started a Lifetime of Prophetic Ministry

-By Rev Michael Bresciani‏

Nearly seven years has passed since my book entitled “An American Prophet and His Message” was published and only recently has it occurred to me that of the more than five hundred articles I have written since then, not one describes the first prophetic vision of worldwide events that I ever received. This is an excerpt from my book un-edited in its entirety from a chapter entitled “How This Book Was Written.” My writing style has changed greatly but the vision has not.

Keep in mind that when I received this vision I had not so much as heard that there was a “second coming” of the Lord Jesus Christ. I had never read anything about it in or out of the Bible including the biblical pictures of a blood red moon and the blocking of the sun.

“Today in a show of their craft, movie makers might start their stories at the end and then proceed to the beginning. In some movies they even show parallel themes based on what would happen to an individual if they had made different choices. But this book is not written to entertain or mesmerize the reader with its mixed time line or plot. My clearest intention is to get the heart of the message out first and foremost. Many people read only the first part of a book or chapter and make summaries from that alone. Thus, I wouldn’t make the reader wait until later to get to the meat.

9/11 Prophecies, Gibson Guitars and Pabulum for the Naïve

-By Rev Michael Bresciani

Getting between three to five hundred emails a day is not my idea of great fun but I never ignore any of them and it is always surprising what is on the minds of my readers. Hatred and vitriol comes in regularly, after that are the serious and many strong supporters whose concern for the path our nation is taking is growing exponentially.

Occasionally I get a word from those who have done their homework and are asking legitimate questions about the signs of the times and Biblical prophecy. They are the ones I love to respond to with the very best answers I can seriously offer. In fact it amazes me more each day just how many people are becoming fully aware of prophecy and understand how today, more than any other time in the history of our planet, those prophecies are closing in on a tumultuous time whose details and final outcome are meticulously outlined in the scriptures.

Dignity and Obscenity Don’t Mix Even in America

-By Rev Michael Bresciani

Basically every school kid knows that oil and water do not mix. Should anyone have missed that rudimentary lesson in chemistry, they have only to recall the recent events that took place in the Gulf of Mexico, and a leaking BP oil rig that the best scientific and engineering minds of our time could not stop, for months. If you are a bit older, then you also can recall the great Exxon Valdez oil spill in Alaska.

No one can argue with the fact that obscenities of every kind are pouring forth across America at an alarming pace. What is hard to understand is that from the President down there are people trying to add dignity to our obscenities which in the end is as futile as trying to mix oil and water.

A recent piece from Focus on the Family noted that the pro-abortionist have been emboldened by President Obama and his Attorney General to take more stringent actions against those who are pro choice and who choose to demonstrate or stand against the practice of abortion. It goes without saying that every aspect of the gay agenda has also been recharged by the moral position of the President, or as some would say; the lack of it.

Families of 9/11 Victims Knocking on America’s Door

-By Rev Michael Bresciani

It is no secret that New York’s Mayor Bloomberg has decided not to ask clergy of any religion to be part in the tenth anniversary ceremonies at Ground Zero. A cross section of responses from both religious and secular sources shows that most people are shocked or at the least scratching their heads in wonderment at Bloomberg’s decision.

Bloomberg said that government “shouldn’t be in the business of picking” one minister or religion over another. That being true, it raises two simple but important questions. The first is, who asked him to pick, let’s be true to our so called rush toward keeping the state separated from religion, is Mr. Bloomberg the Mayor, or is he, New York’s pastor? The second question should be only whether he has considered asking the families of 9/11 victims if they want clergy to be present and to offer prayers. The ceremony is not about the government and it has never been.

In the gospel of Luke Christ gave a parable about a woman who comes to a judge to seek avengement in her cause. The judge ignores her because it is said that he “feared not God, neither regarded man.” (Lk 18: 2) In today’s twisted world who would have guessed we have come to a place where even this has been reversed and now it seems there are those who “fear man and don’t regard God” Has it come to this?

Is There Time to Recover the American Dream?

-By Rev Michael Bresciani

In Ronald Reagan’s address to the nation July 27, 1981 he said “This is not the time for political fun and games. This is the time for a new beginning.” He was at the time, speaking about the heavy burden of taxes laid upon American families, so we can only imagine what he might say today about both taxes and time.

After a lifetime of studying the scriptures, history and the influences of great men and women on our society, I am convinced that when we speak of “space and time,” it is time that bears upon us disproportionately from space.

With the last shuttle launch behind us and talk of dismantling the space station in the news, it would seem that we are back to being the prisoners of the earth, as declared by the ancient King Solomon. “For He doth not afflict willingly nor grieve the children of men. To crush under his feet all the prisoners of the earth.” (La 3: 33, 34)

Religion Bad, Science Good – An Argument for Fools

-By Rev Michael Bresciani‏

My recently published piece entitled “Premiere of Discovery’s ‘Curiosity’ – Shameless Secularism not Science” has created no small stir among both the religious and the scientific community. While I never intended for that to happen it has become one of the greatest lessons of my life.

I loved science as a child and my fascination with all new discoveries has never ended. The importance of some discovery is inestimable and the search for knowledge is a healthy and exciting aspect of human endeavor. It is the philosophy of science and in some cases, the dogma of science that needs to be scrutinized a great deal more carefully.

Being a man of faith does not preclude exercising some legitimate scrutiny about all that calls itself religion. Not using our best wisdom and utilizing some careful research is why those with religious proclivities, sadly, end up in cults or much worse they finish life with a kool-aid cocktail. Those with a great love of science could learn at least this one lesson from the religiously inclined.

World Markets Teetering – No Confidence in Obamanomics

-By Rev Michael Bresciani

The only place where the glazed eyes of the most excited followers still reflect a, “If I could but touch the hem of his garment” look; seems to be at the President’s recent birthday bash. The rest of the world, it seems, does not want to look on the face of President Obama, much less his fiscal policies. The no confidence vote is reflected in huge stock sell outs both here and abroad.

The Dow, NASDAQ, Amex and other markets have slipped some 800 points at home and teetering world markets reflect the same no confidence vote in the recent bi-partisan deal to raise the debt ceiling 2.4 trillion while cutting other spending in a long range effort to acquire a balance. Jobs in America are still slipping away and government is still choking free market investments but the president has gotten his way for the moment. Standard and Poor’s reaction to the weak efforts to stabilize the debt has been to knock America’s credit rating back a notch for the first time in our history.

The power to borrow has been saved and Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner seems satisfied with the fact that it will take almost five years for the effects of any caps or cuts to have any appreciable sway against the 14 trillion in debt that the country is now facing.

Tolerance and Diversity: America’s Experiment with Dishonesty

-By Rev Michael Bresciani‏

Freedom of choice, free speech and endless opportunities were once the phrases that stood foremost in the thinking of Americans and anyone in the rest of the world who entertained a dream of coming to America. These words have morphed from their denotations, to their present connotations with great speed, but never more so, than in the last quarter century.

Tolerance is a call to allow others of different political, social, philosophical and religious persuasions to be a part of what has long been established in the nation. Sister, diversity, is the gate keeper of new changes that tacitly are the promise of a way to better living, through change itself. The slogan of Barack Obama’s campaign and now his administration is ‘change we can believe in.’ No need to criticize that grand notion, all we need to ask is; how has that been going?

Change is good with practical limitations applied but total change may actually be the axe that smashes the foundations of a people and brings their social construct to the ground. Finding ways to control and utilize the great Mississippi River are changes that we accept but should the river suddenly change course the nation would be plunged into confusion.
