Illegals Steal His Trailer, Yet HE Faces Jail?

So, you are an 82-year-old man whose flat bed trailer is being hooked up to a thief’s car right in front of you. Like a dutiful citizen, you call 911 and report the crime happening before your eyes. Like an outraged property owner you yell and scream at the thieves. Like crooks, they pay no heed. So, like a true American, you try to protect your property by firing a few shots at the scum.

This is all as it should be. This is America where we have rights to defend ourselves and our property.

The police later discover the thieves, two illegals from south of the border, and they readily admit that they stole the trailer. The police found them so easily because the property owner actually hit one of the thieves with his hastily delivered pistol shot.

One would think that the case would be closed at this point. After all, this IS America.

McConnell for Colorado: He Loves Guns and The U.S.A…. not so big on the U.N.

I have to say, I find it somewhat amazing to see the sort of campaign videos we’ve been seeing of late. They are hard-nosed, straight-forward, REAL American styled campaign spots. I can’t imagine any time in our past when such hard-core American sentiment would have been evident in campaign commercials like this.

Here is one for Bob McConnell who is running for Colorado’s 3rd Congressional District.

Army RANGERS, hoo ah!

So, all you true Americans living in Colorado’s Third, go out and vote for a real American. Vote Bob McConnell.

NRSC in Colorado: Hey, Let’s Endorse a Tax Raiser!

Nationally, Americans are beginning to again trust Republicans over Democrats on taxes and the economy. The overreach in spending and the constant Democratic drum beat of wanting to raise taxes on “the rich” to pay for a massive enlargement — and engorgement, really — of big government has dug into the high approval rates that Democrats had enjoyed for well over a year. So, what does the National Republican Senatorial Committee want to do in Colorado? You guessed it, they want to endorse a tax raising, squishy moderate for the GOP nomination for U.S. Senate for the 2010 race.

My friend Ben DeGrow of the Mount Virtus blog has discerned the rumblings beginning to come out of the NRSC and it looks like that wayward group is about to land four-square behind former Lt. Governor Jane Norton as the GOP race for the Senate gets rolling in the Centennial State.

So, what is Norton known for? Raising taxes. Great, huh? I’ll let my Colorado friend tells us more:

A Typically For-Thee-Not-For-Me, Scofflaw Democrat in Colorado

So let’s review: what happens when you are an average citizen that skips out on paying late fees? You get your car repossessed, your home foreclosed upon, or your utilities shut off. If it is a government fee you refuse to pay, you will likely end up in jail for not paying. But, whatever late fee you aren’t paying, it bodes major trouble if you’re a regular citizen.

Now what happens if you are a Democrat politician that finds a late fee assessed to you for whatever reason? Naturally, you decide you are exempt from paying such piffle because, after all, YOU are an important politician. Even if you are just a local state perfunctory, you are above being bothered by having to pay a late fee on anything. What do people think you are, anyway? A lowly VOTER!? Perish the thought.
