U.S. Veterans Walk Out on Meeting with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez After She Attacks America

-By Warner Todd Huston

A pair of U.S. military veterans cut short a meeting with New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez reportedly after the left’s It Girl began bashing America.

Veterans Silvio Mazzella and Anthony Vitaliano had agreed to meet with the congresswoman who had hoped to bring herself a little credit for supporting our veterans. But it was not to be when the famously extremist, left-wing freshman rep. began attacking America.

“She knocks the country, she knocks the president. And that’s not what America is about,” said Silvio Mazzella, a Vietnam War vet and treasurer of Community Board 11, according to the New York Post.

The paper added that Anthony Vitaliano — an Army veteran who worked in the NYPD for 38 years, and commanded the Bronx’s homicide detectives — was also in the meeting with Ocasio-Cortez.

Vitaliano had enough of Ocasio-Cortez’ nonsense, too.

“I just couldn’t hear her BS anymore,” Vitaliano added. “I just got up, got my umbrella in my hand and walked right out.”

Apparently, the contention started when a Middle Eastern board member began talking about the conflict in Yemen.

From that, Ocasio-Cortez began slamming U.S. policy.

“Talking about America, that really turned me off completely,” Mazzella said of the rep’s attacks.

Another member of the group invited to the meeting confirmed that Ocasio-Cortez went on the attack against the U.S. “I was revolted,” the unnamed attendee told the paper.

Indeed, other attendees told the paper the most in the room were “hostile” to AOC’s rhetoric.

But after the meeting was over and once news leaked that at least the two veterans walked out, the rep’s office denied the story.

“The only person that left the meeting while it was underway was someone who had to go pick up their children,” AOC spokesman Corbin Trent told the paper. Both appeared on Fox News to confirm their version of events.

But the two veterans have officially confirmed their actions in an interview with Fox News.
