Judson Phillips: Rudy is Right, Obama is Not Patriotic

-By Warner Todd Huston

Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani has made himself quite a target of the left by saying that he doesn’t think that Barack Obama loves this country the way a patriot would. But not everyone is against the former Mayor. In a Washington Times piece says that calling Obama patriotic is “delusional.”

In a Saturday op ed at the Washington Times, Judson Phillips, the founder of Tea Party Nation, says that it is “plainly obvious” that Obama doesn’t love America.

“His patriotism can be questioned because he has none,” Phillips wrote.

After noting that Obama himself questioned George W. Bush’s patriotism, Judson wrote,”Liberals scream when their patriotism is questioned. While they have no compunction about questioning the patriotism of real Americans, they act as if real Americans cannot possibly question their patriotism.”

Phillips also asserted that America was founded as a Christian nation. “While not everyone in this nation professes the Christian faith, culturally this is a Christian nation. Mr. Obama insanely continues to claim America is a Muslim nation,” he wrote.

Phillips went on to criticize Obama for claiming that Islamic terror is not a threat to the country.

The case for Mr. Obama’s lack of love for this nation is compelling. We face an enemy who hates us and wants to destroy us, and Mr. Obama wants to appease them. Mr. Obama is trying to run the clock out while Iran develops the bomb. At the same time, he alienates almost every ally America has.

The Tea Party Nation founder then attacked Obama for refusing to give intelligence information to Egypt and Jordan when they needed help targeting ISIS forces.

“Mr. Obama does not love this nation. He hates this nation,” Phillips continued. “He is not a patriot. He is the opposite of a patriot.”

Phillips wrapped up his op ed making a pointed charge.

“The alarming part of all of this is that the values Obama holds of hating America and Western Civilization are the mainstream ideas of the Democrat Party as well,” he said.
