Liberals Are Succeeding in Making Young People Less Patriotic

A new survey shows that liberal schools are succeeding in destroying the patriotism of America’s young people.

This survey shows that young people are less likely to view the American Flag or other traditional images of the USA as something that makes them “feel good.”

As The New York Times reported,

Seventy-eight percent of the older generation consider their American identity to be extremely important. That drops to 70 percent for baby boomers (50 to 68 years), 60 percent of Generation X’ers (34 to 49 years), and only 45 percent of young adults define themselves this way. And while 94 percent of the Silent Generation say that seeing the U.S. flag flying makes them feel extremely or very good, only 67 percent of millennials muster the same affection.

These young people do think that the ideas of “equality” and “opportunity” make them feel proud to be American.

Of course, “equality” as these deluded kids understand it is NOT an American ideal. Only equality under the law is an American ideal. “Equality” in and of itself is not American.

Kids today have been trained to think that leveling means “equality” when it does not. They have been taught communist ideals of “equality” and then lied to about how this left-wing ideal is an “American principle.”

Worse, the “opportunity” they are taught to love by our anti-American educational system is the “opportunity” to get their share of government, not the opportunity for them to make their own way in life.

So, even as the take away that the Times has in this piece, that patriotism is still alive but is just changing a bit is wrong because the “patriotism” these young people have as inculcated by the left-wing establishment isn’t American and therefore isn’t patriotism.
