Not long ago the nation became aware that Barack Obama’s uncle Omar had been living in the US illegally since the 1970s. In 2011 Obama told America that he never really knew Omar and he never lived with the man. Now, the White House is suddenly backing away from that claim admitting that Obama did live with Uncle Omar in the 1980s.
Once again we see Obama being caught blatantly lying about his past.
Uncle Omar became a liability for the President when in 2011 he was arrested for drunk driving. It was then discovered that he’d been living illegally in the US since the 1970s and there was even a 1992 ruling that he should be deported.
As was reported at The Blaze, “Onyango Obama was arrested in Framingham, Mass., in 2011 and charged with driving drunk. He had made a rolling stop at a stop sign and nearly caused a police cruiser to strike his sport utility vehicle, police said.”
This month an immigration judge finally ruled that Uncle Omar can stay in the USA because he’d been here for decades and been relatively law abiding. The White House claimed that it exerted no influence in the case to get Omar’s legal status.
But when Omar was arrested for drunk driving in 2011, the White House claimed at that time that he didn’t really know Uncle Omar. This, it appears, is a total lie.
During his recent court appearances, Uncle Omar told the courts that President Obama had livid with him for a short time in the early 1980s as the future president was attending Harvard University.
Now, all of a sudden, White House press secretary Jay Carney remembers that… oh, yeah, Obama DID live with Uncle Omar back in the 80s. Gosh darn it, they just forgot.
So, how did Carney explain why in 2011 the White House said that Obama really didn’t know Omar? Well, gosh, no one really asked Obama about it then and the press sec. just went out and said Obama didn’t know Omar without really checking.
THIS TIME, Carney says, they actually asked Obama and the Prez said, why of course he knew Omar and absolutely he lived with him in the 80s.
And if you believe this lame story, I have a bridge to sell you.
