Now you have the chance to give San Fran Lib Nancy Pelosi a message — you know, the former Speaker of the House, heh, I LOVE to say former.
Yes, you really have the opportunity to send Pelosi a message. And you might be lucky enough to have your message flashed onto a mobile electronic billboard that will drive around Pelosi’s San Francisco office!
Just go to http://lolapelosi.com/ and type in your 100 character message and vote on the others that appear there.
You can tweet your message and encourage your friends to vote up your message.
Sponsored by the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) they’ll be promoting this initiative on our Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest pages throughout the next couple of days. People can only win if they promote their message to their friends.
“Since Nancy Pelosi has ignored the clear message sent to her in the 2010 elections that America doesn’t want her in power, we’ll make sure she sees their message circling her office in San Francisco for an entire day. Just as she once told America that we had to pass ObamaCare to find out what was in it, Pelosi is going to find out what Americans think of her failed leadership thanks to LOLaPelosi.com.” – NRCC Digital Coordinator Nick Marcelli
You might know that a back in June the NRCC new media team held a similar new media-based event where you could log onto a site, type in a message, and then watch a live video of you message printing out on a label maker. The labels were ostensibly supposed to about repealing Obamacare, but it wasn’t long before Internet trolls took over the system and started creating labels that were obscene or stupid and certainly off topic.
But the NRCC’s media director, Gerritt Lansing, told the media that he fully expected that to happen at some point. After all, it was a live Internet-based event. Of COURSE the trolls would swamp it eventually.
The upshot of the trolling, though, was that the whole issue was a hot topic, especially on Twitter. And that was the whole goal. To get people talking about it and get the message out.
Anyway, this is all kind of inventive, here, folks. A little fun from the National Republican Congressional Committee should be encouraged.
