Big Bonding‏

From For The Good Of Illinois…

“You can’t be for big government, big taxes, and big bureaucracy and still be for the little guy,” Ronald Reagan.

Springfield just hiked your taxes while increasing spending and ignoring any spending cuts.

Even after the largest tax hike in Illinois history, the budget still has an estimated $2 billion shortfall. What’s the plan to cover this shortfall? A pay day loan – $14.2 billion of new government debt. If you want to see significant cuts in Illinois spending, make sure you stop the massive “Big Bonding”. Click here to find out why.

Don’t let them stick you with their bill.

Fiscal insanity reigns in the state capital. Jeff Mays of the Illinois Business Round Table lays the budget bare. His analysis shows that in five years Illinois is right back to where we are right now- deficits of between $10 billion and $23 billion. Click here to review the numbers by fiscal year.

If Republicans join Democrats to double down on the tax hike by an additional $14.2 of bond debt, they will be voting for a massive tax hike. In 2014, the “temporary” tax hike will become permanent. It’s the only way the state will be able to meet its increasing debt burden.

Make the Democrats own every dollar of debt, along with every dime of the tax increase.

In order to pass the Big Bonding, Democrats need Republican votes. Two Senate Republicans and seven House Republican votes are needed for passage. Call every Republican legislator you know and tell him you’ll find them primary opponent if he votes with the Big Bonding industry. If the Big Bonding Bill fails, you’ll stand a much bigger chance of seeing meaningful cuts in spending and repeal/ reform of the income tax.

It’s time to drive real reform. Please contact your legislator- Look up their name and phone number.

Thank you for standing strong with courage and conviction. Thank you for standing with us.

Together, we will bring a new day to Illinois.

Sincerely,
