from the Brady for Governor campaign…
Just as we predicted, polls show this race is may come down to the wire!
With just over one month before Election Day, this week showed Bill Brady receiving two important endorsements for his campaign to bring more jobs to Illinois.
Days after beloved former Governor Jim Edgar’s endorsement, Bill was endorsed by the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce for his commitment to enacting pro-growth policies that create new jobs and help small businesses succeed.
Unfortunately, this week also marked the launch of yet another nasty and misleading attack from Pat Quinn. In a new ad, Pat Quinn now wants voters to believe the solution to our fiscal crisis is more spending, more borrowing and more taxes.
Don’t be fooled. Like Bill says, if more state spending, taxing and borrowing created jobs, Illinois would be the number one jobs creating state in America!
Bill is the only candidate in this election who will stand with the people of Illinois to make a clean break from big government spending and pay-to-play politics that hurt our state.
Meanwhile, the Chicago Tribune reported that Pat Quinn is taking another page out of the Blagojevich playbook, accepting political contributions from at least 77 of his appointees to various state task forces, agencies, boards or commissions – including over $50,000 in contributions following an appointment to the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District.
Bill believes that accepting a $50,000 campaign contribution from a state appointee shows Pat Quinn’s practices are no different from the convicted governor whom he said was an honest politician with integrity.
The Tribune said, “The connections are the latest sign that Quinn’s fundraising practices as he runs for election don’t match his rhetoric railing against a cozy Springfield culture where state government often intersects with campaign fundraising.”
Bill won’t let Pat Quinn’s big government allies stop our growing movement to clean house and turn Illinois around. But we need you to stand with us!
