‘Joe The Plumber’ Coming to Central Illinois

-By Warner Todd Huston

The State Journal-Register in the state’s capitol reports that “Joe the Plumber” Wurzelbacher is planning to speak in three town in and around Springfield, IL this month.
Wurzelbacher will be appearing at Take Back Illinois 9/12 rallies in Pittsfield on Aug. 17 and Jacksonville Aug. 18, and an Aug. 19 event in Springfield.

You’ll recall that “Joe the Plumber” became famous when he asked then candidate Barack Obama about his tax policy ideas to which, in good socialist fashion, the president-to-be replied that he wanted to “spread the wealth.”

“We’re Americans now, and we’ve got to do something to fix our problems together,” Brahler said. The 9-12 movement promotes “conservative values and principles,” he said.

Wurzelbacher’s Pittsfield appearance is at The Crossroads Center, 125 W. Jefferson St., with a $25-per-person dinner from 5:30-7 p.m., and a $10-per-person general presentation at 7 p.m.

The Jacksonville appearances are at Hamilton’s Catering, 110 N. East St., with a $50-per-person reception at 5:30 p.m. Aug. 18 and a meeting at 7 p.m., with a $10 admission charge. Tickets are available at Brahler’s Truckers Supply Inc., 21 Harold Cox Drive, Jacksonville.

The Aug. 19 Springfield appearance will be in the evening at Northfield Center, Brahler said, but details are still being worked out.

Tickets for all the appearances should be available soon at http://takebackil912.org, Brahler said.
