In a week when we’ve uncovered the state of Illinois funding $300k worth of debate reenactments, $100k to celebrate “Canadian 4th of July,” and $55k to help fund a movie about Daniel Burnham, this one takes the cake: the federal government spent $2.6 million to teach Chinese prostitutes how to drink in moderation while on the job. Raw Deal for Taxpayers
Wish someone would pay for your continuing education so you could get a higher paying job? Well, unionized state employees in Illinois get this benefit already.
