Steven Crowder, 22 years old, was born in Detroit and raised in Montreal, Canada. Crowder really had nothing going for him until he turned twelve. It was at that age that he was awarded the role of voicing the character Alan “The Brain” Powers on the children’s television series Arthur. The role immediately launched him into the realm of “Babe Magnet”. With this in mind, he continued down the path of acting (in voice, TV and film) until he came to the realization that he was no longer the ‘cute’ kid that Public Broadcasting had learned to love. Now that his baby-fat cheeks had left him, he knew that he needed a new hook to catch the ladies. Frantically he searched for the answer until one summer, working as manual labor for the “Just for Laughs” Comedy Festival, the art of Standup Comedy caught his attention.

Steven attended a local comedy club to try his hand at the trade. The throwing of vegetables and angry screams of the crowd created an incredible “rush” addicting him to the stage, he hasn’t looked back since.

One year later, at 18 years of age, Crowder returned to the “Just for Laughs” as the youngest comedian to grace the stage, breaking Chris Rock’s appearance at the age of 19. His act was so well received that coordinators decided to feature him on XM Radio and booked him on tours across North America.

Currently living in New York City, and fresh from winning the Nationwide “So You Think You’re Funny” MySpace Comedy Contest, Steven Crowder espouses his conservative political views on current events and addresses topical issues with humor.

The Patriot Foundation, a part of The 9/12 Patriots, serves to educate the public on current political happenings and inform them of our country’s history. They’ve teamed up with the Lake County Young Republicans to engage our up and coming generation in the governing of our country. Tom Weber, one of the founders of The Patriot Foundation, feels the future and direction of our great nation lies in the hands of the 20 something crowd and they need to be engaged.
