From Adam Andrzejewski and For the Good of Illinois…
Thanks to you, we’re winning the fight to Open the Books!
Over the past couple weeks, advocates of transparent and accountable government in Illinois have been winning more and more small victories.
Quinn’s canoe czar, $85,000 per year, STOPPED!
Quinn’s iTax, 50 to 75 cents per download, STOPPED!
Quinn’s 33% tax hike…
It’s time to call your state legislator and demand that he/she support a forensic audit of Illinois spending.
We can’t afford Quinn’s 33% income tax hike, which would cost already struggling Illinois families an extra $500 per year.
Governor Quinn and Speaker Madigan continue to say there’s nowhere to cut from the state budget, while asking Illinois families to cut from their budgets.
A forensic audit would prove they’re wrong!
Illinois House Resolution 1057, a forensic audit of Illinois spending, now has 28 sponsors, including two Democrats.
Illinois Senate Resolution 0763, a forensic audit of Illinois spending, has 7 sponsors.
Please look up your local legislator, if they are not sponsoring HR 1057 or SR0763, contact them and ask them to do so. And, if they are sponsoring one of these resolutions, call and thank them.
The future of Illinois depends on resolving these issues. If there ever was a time to get involved and make a difference, that time has come.
Thanks again for joining our movement and working toward a new day in Illinois. Because of your hard work, we’re going to win this.
