More of Melissa Bean’s Hypocritical Ways

From the Palatine Tea Party…

(Palatine, Illinois) – Since Melissa Bean voted yes on January 28, 2009 for the $787B stimulus bill the unemployment rate in Lake County continues to rise. While Bean spent the last year ignoring her constituents and the American people she continued down a path of the takeover of our healthcare industry while ignoring the jobs which are disappearing at an alarming rate in Lake County. Bean’s stance to support the Obama Administration’s failed policies is hurting businesses and individuals which live and work in Lake County.

The unemployment rate in Lake County in January 2009 when Bean supported the $787B stimulus bill was 9.1 percent and it now stands at 13.4 percent. Bean cannot claim it would be worse without the stimulus bill. That claim is subjective. Where are the LakeCounty jobs?

Bean said, “The American people expect more from Congress. They expect fiscal responsibility and common sense. They expect us to return to the pay-as-you-go budget rules that we had enacted in the past that helped us establish a surplus, however briefly”.

Bean’s support for the stimulus bill has completely failed Lake County. All of the stimulus money has been borrowed from counties like China, Brazil, Germany, and Egypt. It appears Bean’s own statement and her votes do not agree with each other as the United States continues to set record deficits.

According to the 2000 census the United States population on April 1, 2000 was 281,421,906*. This stimulus bill costs every American $2,797 not including interest. This cost is even much higher for those that actually pay federal income tax. Roughly 47%** of households, or 71 million, will not owe any federal income tax and some in this group will qualify for refundable tax breaks having the remaining Americans pay their share. The real cost to those Americans that actually pay federal income tax is $3,740 not including interest.

Thus, once again, Bean’s ACTIONS speak loud than her words.
