Standing Up for Small Businesses: Hair Braiders
“Oumou Wague learned to braid hair in her native Senegal by watching her aunts and mother,” Chicago Public Radio reported earlier this week. “Today, she owns a shop on South Halsted.” According to state law, hair braiders, who often struggle to make ends meet, “must have a full cosmetology license.
