Chicago, IL, March 12, 2010 – Pro-liberty advocate and Candidate for U. S. Congress from Illinois’ 5th Congressional District, David Ratowitz plans to hold a Town Hall meeting to provide information on the so-called Health Care Reform Bill, only two days after he speaks at the TEA Party Rally at Daley Plaza in downtown Chicago.
“Mike Quigley has refused to listen to his constituents on the health care issue. He has refused to hold town hall meetings, he avoids constituent questions, and only responds to e-mails with canned auto responses that usually don’t actually address the question asked or comment made.” Ratowitz said today from his Chicago office.
“Mike Quigley doesn’t care about us enough to communicate with us or listen to us. It seems clear he thinks we owe him a Congressional seat instead of him owing us a real Congressman,” said Ratowitz.
“This follows a cynical pattern Mike Quigley has set throughout his long political career of cozying up to a few extremist activists and systematically ignoring most of his constituents. It is time we expose Mike Quigley as a traditional Machine influence peddler,” Ratowitz said.
On April 15th, 2010 David Ratowitz will address the TEA Party Rally in Daley Plaza at noon in downtown Chicago. Two days later, on April 17th, David Ratowitz will host a Town Hall style community meeting from 11:00 to 1:00 at Welles Park, to offer answers to citizen questions on the Health Care Bill and other matters that concern those in attendance.
“It really is too bad that Mike Quigley has made himself the poster child of Congressional arrogance and disregard for voters. In the 5th Congressional District, our anti-incumbent feelings really are justified” said Ratowitz.
