I am more confident now than ever that Conservatives can take back Illinois and in fact most of the country. Everything the liberals have done the past few years has failed. Sadly, America has suffered. As I go from event to event I am meeting average citizens that are tired of the direction America is heading. In fact, 52% of Americans do NOT want President Obama re-elected in 2012 according to a CNN poll. The healthcare plan turned out to be a total disaster for the Democrats and it has hurt them deeply. The stimulus package has failed as well and it was run very poorly. According to recovery.gov Illinois has been awarded $3,905,380,000 and with that money we have created just 11,280 jobs. So by doing the math the American tax payer is paying over $270,000 for each job that stimulus package has created.
I have said this a lot but I will say it again, Americans are no longer asking for fiscal responsibility, they are demanding it! No longer will Americans accept our elected officials spending our tax dollars recklessly.
I have used this analogy a lot in my speeches and this is how I inform my fellow young adults about how our government is spending our money.
A 17 year girl walks into the store American Eagle and she finds a $60 pair of jeans she wants but she only has $20 to spend. The 17 year old girl still decides she wants the jeans and she takes them to the cash register to check out. The casher asks for $65 ($5 added for tax) and the 17 year old gives the casher her $20 then says to the cashier, my future kid and my future kid’s kid will be responsible for the other $45.
That is basically what the government is doing. They are spending our children’s and our grandchildren’s money. The overwhelming majority of Americans do not support that. I am only 19 years old and already my children and grandchildren are being put in debt.
In conclusion, we need to stop putting these pointless restrictions on business and stop taking money from them. The less money the government takes from a business the more money the business can spend on hiring people.

While I agree with Mr. Oltmanns sentiments, I wonder why Randy Hultgren is not endorsed on his website? My recollection is that Mr. Oltmanns endorsed the Washington DC candidate in the primary. It’s time to band together, isn’t it?
