First Time Voter Chooses Dodge

From the Jim Dodge for Comptroller campaign…

Take a look at a message we received from Erik Zimmerman, a young man who takes his voting privileges very seriously. We’re honored that after his research, he decided to cast his vote for Jim Dodge.

Erik Zimmerman “When I was 16 I started realizing my love for politics. Unfortunately, I couldn’t vote yet because I wasn’t 18. I had to wait two long years and watched as Democrats began to take over and run things both in Illinois and in the federal government. After seeing what the liberal policies did to our state I realized that I couldn’t responsibly vote for someone who would treat the taxpayers dollars like a lottery windfall.

“Now, in the 2010 primaries, I finally got to vote for the first time! I knew that I was going to vote Republican, because I knew that I wanted someone who was going to be fiscally responsible and take care of my, and other Illinoisans’, hard earned money. I began researching the various candidates for different state offices, and when I was looking at the candidates for Illinois Comptroller, I realized that there was only one true fiscally responsible person I could vote for and know that my money was going to be treated responsibly. That is why, for my first-ever vote, I voted for Jim Dodge for Comptroller. He has worked in business before and by looking at his very strong record I knew that he would be the man to protect Illinois’s taxpayers and tax dollars. That is why Jim Dodge received my vote for Illinois Comptroller.”

Signed, Erik Zimmerman
