From the Bob Dold for congress campaign…
It’s only Tuesday, and Dold for Congress is already having an outstanding week. Today we received two major endorsements that have catapulted us into the media spotlight. The first endorsement is from the Chicago Tribune, who announced this morning their support of Robert Dold. We are thrilled to have the endorsement of Illinois’ number one newspaper. Dold was also endorsed today by U.S. Senator Richard Lugar, the most senior Republican in the Senate.
The Chicago Tribune editorial board wrote, “Congress needs more people who genuinely understand what it takes to put people to work — and how government puts up roadblocks to employment. Dold makes a convincing argument that he does.”
They continue, “He’s not a political neophyte: He has been active in local and national Republican politics for years. But he is making his first run for office and he would bring a fresh, common-sense perspective to government. Dold is endorsed.”

Lugar enthusiastically expressed his support of Robert to member of the local and national media today, and said, “I enthusiastically endorse Robert Dold to represent the 10th District of Illinois in the U.S. House of Representatives. His leadership skills will deliver a strong message of fiscal discipline and common sense, and his background in small business is very timely. Dold is a remarkable choice. I look forward to working with him and having a friend in the House who shares my values and the values I believe will be a hallmark for the turn of the country at this point.”
These key endorsements follow on the heels of former U.S. Vice President Dan Quayle’s endorsement announcement last week, when he traveled to Northbrook to publicly express his support of Robert.
As Robert’s message of creating jobs by bringing small business common sense change to Washington catches on with voters, major national political figures, and the mainstream media, the campaign’s momentum continues to build. We need your help to carry that momentum to Election Day and send Robert to Congress as representative of the 10th District. Click here to get more involved.
