From the Joe Walsh for Congress campaign…

Lake Zurich, Illinois -January 18, 2010 – Joe Walsh, Candidate for Congress in the 8th Congressional district, today received the endorsement of We-Do-Care founders Jeanmarie Kapp, and Tom & Cara Kretz, along with We-Do-Care military supporters Joe Cantafio and Capt. Mike Saubert (Ret.). Miss Kapp and Mr & Ms. Kretz are three of the five Barrington residents who started We-Do-Care in 2004 with its first and biggest Barrington Freedom Festival, created to support and honor the troops.

“Thank you to the founders and military supporters of We Do Care for their confidence in me and my campaign. I am honored to have the support of these individuals who have done so much to stand up for our military in a tangible and positive way.” said Walsh.”

Joe Cantafio, Chicago rock and roll celebrity and recipient of numerous awards for his charitable work on behalf of the military and first responders, created the 101st Rock Division band after his one year solo effort, the “Let Freedom Sing” tour to commemorate September 11th. In February 2004, Joe Cantafio’s band performed concerts in Iraq, Kuwait, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Djibouti, Africa and Bahrain, highlighted by performing on the steps of Saddam Hussein’s Baghdad palace.

Capt. Mike Saubert, a former Blackhawk helicopter pilot with the Army National Guard, and President of the Sears Associate Military Network has worked tirelessly, along with Joe Cantafio, and numerous military support groups including We-Do-Care to support causes that support soldiers and their families.

“We’re proud to support this smart and honest Barrington native. With his background in free-market advocacy, conservative state and local public policy making and as a teacher of American government and history, Joe Walsh is the best choice to be the Republican candidate to beat Bean in November ” said Jeanmarie Kapp, Chief Operating Officer, The Renaissance Companies.
