The Kirk Dillard for Governor campaign is announcing two more endorsements for his campaign for Governor.
Illinois Congresswoman Judy Biggert (R-13) today endorsed Republican candidate for governor Kirk Dillard. “I believe in his vision for Illinois,” Biggert said at a joint news conference.
“Senator Dillard has the experience to be the next governor of Illinois,” Biggert continued. “His plan to make our state a ‘Destination Economy’ is right on track to create jobs and transform Illinois’ economy from worst to first.”
Dillard said he is honored and thrilled to have Biggert’s support. “Her endorsement adds to the tremendous momentum we’ve been seeing in our campaign,” Dillard said. “Her support is crucial to make Illinoisans realize that I am the one candidate with the proven experience to lead us out of this major deficit and put Illinois to work again; all without a tax increase.”
The Dillard for Governor Campaign continues to widen its support with two major endorsements from the Illinois State Rifle Association (ISRA), the state’s leading advocate for Second Amendment rights of gun owners and the Southtown Star newspaper.
“My wife and I both come from avid sportsmen families,” Dillard said. “I believe it’s important that we continue to protect and strengthen our Second Amendment Constitutional rights. I’m grateful for the ISRA’s support.”
The ISRA’s endorsement was made after what the organization said was a careful review of candidate qualifications and voting records. The endorsement is one of a growing list of support for Senator Dillard as the campaign nears the two-week mark before the February 2 Illinois Primary.
Dillard is also backed by the Southtown Star. “We believe the person who best represents the leadership qualities necessary to fuel state government with creative ideas and responsible cost cutting is state Sen. Kirk Dillard,” the Southtown stated in its endorsement.
