8th District: Joe Walsh Picks up Tea Party Groups Endorsement

From the Walsh for Congress campaign…

For Immediate Release: 8th Congressional District Candidate, Joe Walsh, is thrilled to announce the support of two influential Tea Party organizations in the 8th district — Tea Party Palatine and the Lake County Tea Party — in his run for congress. Two weeks ago Walsh was endorsed by the Illinois Federation for Right to Life PAC.

“I am honored to have the support of two fine organizations comprised of selfless individuals who have chosen to engage in the political process rather than sit back and accept the status quo. These organizations and their memberships have ‘had enough’ and are working hard to take our country back,” said Walsh.

“Joe believes in the Tea Party Movement and will stand up for conservative principles. We would be honored for Joe to represent District 8. Together, we will demand lower taxes and a smaller government,” from the official endorsement of Tea Party Palatine.

“Joe is the best candidate in the race to fire Melissa Bean. He is conservative and like us, has had enough of the over spending, the bailouts and the wholesale ignoring of our constitution,” from the Lake County Tea Party endorsement announcement.

“The Tea Party movement and the 9-12 Patriot organizations have the led the public fight for our freedoms and against those who would usurp those freedoms. I call myself a Tea Party candidate because we share the same fear and the same motivation — like these patriotic Americans, I feel like I’m losing my country and I want to do my part to get it back. I am more interested in getting conservatives and those who agree with the Tea Party cause elected, than simply electing just any Republican,” said Walsh.

“Some of my opponents have dismissed the Tea Party movement as a fringe group. I couldn’t disagree more. I believe that for every formal member of one of these organizations, there are a hundred friends and neighbors who feel the same way. And, I am counting on the grassroots support of all of these folks in the 8th District to put “boots on the ground” to help get “one of their own” nominated on Feb 2nd and then elected next November,” said Walsh.
