State Senator Randy Hultgren Commits to February 4 Republican Unity Event

Randy Hultgren is running for the GOP nimination in the 14th District.

St. Charles – State Senator Randy Hultgren confirmed today that he will attend a February 4 Unity Party, sponsored by the Kane County Young Republicans meant to bring all Republicans together following the February 2 Primary Election.

“I am well aware of the concerns Republicans have resulting from our bitter primary election experience in 2008,” said Hultgren. “No matter what is said and done between now and February 2nd, if we don’t come together following the 2010 primary election, the liberal Bill Foster will retain this seat in Congress,” said Hultgren.

With three of the candidates now out of the race, State Senator Randy Hultgren today reiterated his intent to maintain a positive campaign in the primary for U.S. House of Representatives, IL-14.

“While I expect the differences between experience and issues to be highlighted, I believe it is important that we keep this primary on a positive tone for the benefit of the Party and the voters” said Hultgren.

Randy Hultgren has represented the 48th district, which is comprised of DuPage, Kane and Will Counties and all or part of Batavia, Geneva, Naperville, North Aurora, Warrenville, West Chicago, Wheaton and Winfield, in the Illinois Senate since 2007.

Prior to serving in the Senate, Hultgren served the 95th District in the Illinois House since 1999. He was first elected in 1994 to the DuPage County Commission and Forest Preserve Commission.
