Questioning Pagan Gospel

-By Thomas E. Brewton

A few things for the high priests of environmental paganism to ponder when they next forgather to worship their own egos.

Barton Bennett sent me a link for Dr. Walter Williams’s column reminding us how far from the truth is the junk science that flourishes like maggots in today’s cesspool of educational ignorance.

So far as I know, the self-anointed main stream news media in the United States have ignored one of the principal reasons for the British Labour Party’s crushing defeat in recent local elections: the public’s recognition, at last, of the devastating economic costs of meeting the carbon emissions standards to be imposed by the socialist commissars in the EU’s Brussels headquarters.

To sense the reaction when citizens finally are brought face-to-face with reality, read the following:

Green tax revolt: Britons ‘will not foot bill to save planet’

Throw The Bums Out

LABOUR’S GREEN TAX WILL COST EVERY FAMILY £3,000

Brown to scrap tax rises in bid to calm voter fury

Today’s global warming hysteria is just another example of public manias like Holland’s 1634-37 speculative tulip bulb frenzy.

Too few students today, if we are to believe liberal icon Derek Bok, the recent president of Harvard, are inculcated with anything other than anti-Americanism and subjects such as queer studies, Latino studies, black studies, feminist studies, and the various sorts of deconstructionism that permit teachers to interpret the written words of others in any way they please (excellent training for Harvard and Yale law students aiming to become activist judges).

According to Mr. Bok very few graduates of elite Ivy League schools have any training in rigorous analytical methods, of the sort that mathematicians, engineers, chemists, and physicists are required to have. Those students are mostly ignorant of world history and have only a distorted version of American history.

These are the sorts of liberal-progressives in whose minds every quack idea masquerading as science finds ready acceptance.
