‘God’s Warriors’: CNN’s Biggest Faux Pas

-By Marie Jon’

Christiane Amanpour is a skillful manipulating propagandist. When presenting offerings like her series “God’s Warriors,” Amanpour and her ilk prove themselves to be absolutely noxious. Don’t be impressed with her many awards. “The world loves its own.” (John 15:19)

Those who willfully err to gain recognition and power ultimately find it fleeting. Only by faith in a loving God will one receive his just reward before His presence.

Amanpour is CNN’s Chief International Correspondent, and is one of television’s highest-paid correspondents. Unfortunately, it appears that the intent of “God’s Warriors” by CNN was to defame America’s Judeo-Christian beliefs, another made-for-television visual assault trying to further denigrate our great country’s religious heritage — the one that upholds human dignity and embraces life.

Christians and Jews are not jihadists who behead people, nor do they preach or teach hate to their youth. Judeo-Christian believers do not butcher their baby girls with the intent of denying them the enjoyment of sexual intercourse when they later marry. This can not be said about Islam.

Certain practicing Muslims know the pain of clitoral removal which is part of their belief system.

Islam’s holy book, the Koran, actually permits telling lies as a part of subterfuge to make inroads for their Sharia law into other societies that have naïvely welcomed them into their country. Radical Islam’s goals include the overthrow of all governments.

    Excepts from News Busters:

“CNN’s ‘God’s Warriors’ Reflects MSM’s Bias Against ‘Big 3’ Faiths”

“Christiane Amanpour’s six-hour miniseries ‘God’s Warriors’ reflects less of the reality of ‘fundamentalist’ monotheists — Jews, Muslims, and Christians — and more of liberals’ attitudes about these faiths. It is clear, given how CNN and Amanpour covered each faith, that they have sympathy towards Muslims in the U.S., ‘concern’ with the Jewish settlers in the West Bank, and are uncomfortable towards the beliefs and practices of Christian evangelicals.

“Tuesday night’s ‘God’s Jewish Warriors’ focused on the cause of the “right-wing” Jewish settlers. The term ‘right wing’ is used seven times to describe the settlers and/or their supporters in Israel and in the United States, and ‘fundamentalist/-ism’ was used three times, once in reference to Christian supporters of the settlers in the U.S.

“On Wednesday night’s ‘God’s Muslim Warriors,’ ‘fundamentalist/-ism’ was the more prevalent term, used 11 times. ‘Right wing’ is used twice, only to describe Geert Wilders, a member of the Dutch Parliament.

“A partial transcript of the first occasion Amanpour used the term ‘right-wing’ to describe Wilders:

“AMANPOUR: Across Europe, Islam is the fastest growing religion, the number of Muslims tripling in the last 30 years. This increased Muslim presence, and violence like the Van Gogh murder, play into the hands of right-wing politicians, like Geert Wilders, a member of the Dutch parliament.

“AMANPOUR: …who fears the Dutch are losing their country to an alien culture. The party he’s founded has staked its political future in large part on an anti-Islam platform. He’s proposed shutting down immigration from non-western countries and banning burkas and nikabs, the head-to-toe coverings worn by some Muslim women, even though few here wear them.

“A few minutes later, after talking about the ‘culture clash’ between the native European Dutch and the Muslims in the country, Amanpour continued her profile of Wilders.

‘AMANPOUR: Emerson Vermaat, a Dutch investigative journalist, has spent years studying the group [the so-called ‘Hofstad Group,’ a terror cell in the Netherlands] and the murder of Van Gogh.

CNN unleashes its bias against Christian organizations who allow the youth of America to have a say about their faith. These young people should be commended for not desiring to emulate the likes of Britney Spears, Nicole Richie, or Paris Hilton and rebuffing the degenerate Hip-Hop culture with its Pit Bull dog-fight mentality. People of faith understand that the lack of morality has greatly tarnished America’s favorite pastimes: Sports.

Healthy minded youth, with the Lord’s name on their lips, denounce pre-martial sex and the practice of killing babies in a mother’s womb. They reject the far left feminist movement and alternative lifestyles promoted by the liberal media.

Christians youth are taking a stand in the “Culture War” brought about by secular progressives. The youth who join BattleCry (www.battlecry.com) use love and peaceful ways to help finish what Christ referred to as The Great Commission. They offer Bible studies and warm fellowship to all. BattleCry is becoming a fast growing outreach because of its enthusiasm and goodness. ( YouTube/Bill O’Reilly on BattleCry event (link)

The script for “God’s Warriors” however, appears to have been written with a prejudice against those who practice the true religion of peace based on the forgiveness, redemption, and recreation that is bestowed by a loving God.

Amanpour is the epitome of the extremely progressive liberal Democrat. The Iranian-born reporter is openly hostile with an obvious axe to grind. She a is part and parcel representative of the far-left liberal media’s misguided anti-American mindset who want you to believe that Judeo-Christian religions are responsible for the world’s woes.

The CNN News Network sophistically translates “God’s Warrior,” with disconnected notions and many untruths. In my opinion Amanpour and CNN stand out as Useful Idiots. In prime-time, Amanpour desperately overreaches trying to connect terrorism with born-again Christians and practicing Jews.

It was difficult to watch the truth being tampered with by these crafty, self appointed know-it-alls. I watched “God’s Warriors” with disgust. There was one fact that all should have been able to clearly see: The war against terror is real. It is not a Bush or Republican phenomenon. Islam has been at war with the world since its inception; the brand of Islam being touted today is not a religion of peace.

There is only one omnipresent Lord who teaches the value of human life. However, radical extremists of the Muslim faith teach the magnificence of martyrdom, while insisting there will be death to all infidels in the name of Allah.

It is my suggestion that everyone watch this forceful and malicious attack against two religions upon which our country was founded. After you watch it pick up the phone and Call CNN — 404-827-1500 and tell them what you think — but don’t stop there. Send them an e-mail on CNN’s website.

If you believe that CNN is guilty of offending you and your faith, please contact Gary Cass, Chairman and CEO of The Christian Anti-Defamation Commission at 954-491-9366.

It is time we became proactive. “All that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing.” (Edmund Burke)

Rev. Gary Cass made himself available to the media to respond to CNN’s airing of “God’s Warriors.” He addressed the segment that focused on Christianity. Reverend Cass is an ordained Presbyterian minister who hails from San Diego, California. He is an author who has appeared on TV and radio, both national and international. His name also has appeared in print and the media such as ABC World News Tonight and the Washington Post. Dr. Cass recently returned from Iraq, where he met with Prime Minister Maliki to discuss religious liberty in Iraq.

Following are examples of CNN bias against Christians:

Ted Turner said that Christians are “bozos” and “Christianity is for losers” and the Ten Commandments “out of date,” — especially the one against adultery.

Commentator Bill Press, who is the host of CNN’s Crossfire, said this about Evangelicals: “Their religion is so narrow, and it’s so mean, and it’s so ugly, and so intolerant, and it’s so un-Christian.”

Christopher Hitchens, within hours of Reverend Jerry Falwell’s death, called him, “a little toad … a horrible little person… an evil old man… a conscious charlatan and bully and fraud.”

Christiane Amanpour’s presentation of this repugnant series was morally reprehensible. “God’s Warriors” is a blatant insult to both Christians and those of the Jewish faith.
